I have plenty of blank cassette tapes. I buy them impulsively from thrift stores and good eBay deals. Lately, however, I have been finding that it is much more emotionally engaging to apply tape to the divots where the protection tabs once stood, and record new material over a cassette that has already been used.

The tape in question I have used for this project is When Love Finds You by Vince Gill. I recorded improvised piano over the A side with my four track tape recorder and then listened back, using the 4th channel as an instrument.
